Our Publishing Services

Collectors’ Edition Preorders
Reserve exclusive collector editions in hard cover ahead of release, featuring our signature red square frame design and yellowed pages. Detailed information later this year.
Bookstores
We will carefully place our books in independent street bookstores (500 in Brazil, a few dozen in Portugal and then around the world, without haste, as we get to know them, always thinking about authors and readers) and some book networks with "soul". In the future, we'll place the list here and will keep adding bookstores in the years ahead

The Future
In the near future, we aim to realize our core objective: offering readers access to all formats for every title. We envision a seamless reading experience where one can begin with a physical copy, transition to audio while commuting, or consult the digital edition for note-taking. While the preference for paper remains universal, dedicated readers appreciate the versatility of multiple formats. Moving forward, we intend to release every book simultaneously in print, digital, and audio formats—including both human and AI-generated narration. Our mission is to empower the reader with that choice
Print on Demand all over the world (3.000 online bookstores)
Physical books printed via print-on-demand have the widest global distribution of any Portuguese publisher: they are distributed in 3,000 bookstores worldwide (Germany, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, South Korea, Ecuador, Spain, United States, India, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, UAE, Singapore). If you chose this way, print-on-demand shipping costs can be higher, but they will be practically the same whether you order two or twenty volumes, so please try to use this for larger orders. This is available through our partner "Clube de Autores" (link to catalogue above)

Curated Catalogue Showcase
We will work with traditional printing companies so that readers looking for the lowest price can wait for larger print runs at a lower price, much like crowdfunding, but this maison d'édition will publish the book first and only offer this option to readers once it is published. Contact information and details for securing the lowest possible price will appear here.
Team

Pedro Guilherme-Moreira
Our founder (Porto)
Our founder wishes to decline his biography because his purpose is collective, and that purpose is plural: books. He's fine with being googled, especially since there are more truths than lies about him on the internet. And he prefers that you learn about him in person, just as he wants to learn about all of you. And write to him, he loves that. And if there was only one word to define him, it would be "writer," of course. And only one quality for him to aim to, that would have to be "kindness", from which everything originates and the world becomes bigger and better. Even the team, in a project that doesn't aim for profit, was born from this intimate passion and modern collaboration, like the old barter economy, so intimate that Pedro calls Élodie, Mak, Bia and Inès his 4 heteronyms: being himself D'Artagnan ;).

Élodie Castro‑Wong
Cover Designer & Marketing (Paris)
Of Macanese and portuguese descent, Élodie grew up between Paris and Macau, a dual heritage that shaped her visual sensibility and calls her office "Studio Macau-Paris" because she misses her other half. With a background in Fine Arts and decades of experience in cultural communication, she has built a career bridging visual creation and editorial strategy. She oversees the publisher’s visual identity, covers, and outreach, always with an eye that combines tradition and contemporary flair.

Sofia “Mak” Antunes
Cover Designer & Marketing (Porto)
Born in Lisbon’s Alfama district, Sofia is the twin sister of Inès Delacroix. Raised in Portugal by her father, she forged a self‑taught path through graffiti, analogue photography, and design for independent publishers. Her approach combines the energy of the street with a discerning visual curation. At Paris‑Porto, she designs covers, shapes the publisher’s image, and manages digital presence, keeping the bond between book and reader alive.

Beatriz Macedo “Bia”
Editor (Porto)
Originally from São Tomé and Príncipe and based in Porto for several decades, Beatriz holds a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures from the University of Porto. With a background in the world of books and publishing trough Africa, Asia and Brazil before establishing in Porto, she has a keen ear for Portuguese‑language literature and a passion for rediscovering forgotten authors. She is the resident senior editor of Paris-Porto in Porto, where she works with authors, develops the catalogue, and ensures the editorial coherence of Paris‑Porto, and travels to Paris everytime Inès and Élodie need to team-up with her senior editor experience;), or even to any other country in the world, if the author can't meet us in Paris or Porto.

Inès Delacroix
Editor/Typesetter (Paris)
Trained in Graphic Design in Paris, Inès devoted years to typesetting experimental poetry and philosophy. She is the twin sister of Sofia “Mak” Antunes; both born in Lisbon, they were raised separately – Inès in France with her mother, Sofia in Portugal with her father – which explains their different surnames. Her precise eye for the invisible architecture of text turns every page into a unique reading space. At Paris‑Porto, she is responsible for typesetting and the visual precision of all publications. As a heavy reader and "connaisseur" she works as our editor in Paris when Bia can't be there.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where are your offices located?
Our offices are located in Rue Vercingetorix, Paris, France, and Rua Cimo de Vila, Porto, Portugal.
Can I visit your bookshop or library space?
While we do not have a physical bookshop, our website features a cosy, library-inspired design with a virtual bookshop atmosphere to browse our catalogue. Our team is private and colaborative, inspired by the publisher's motto, *"leurre pour fianteurs", because what matters are the books, the authors, the readers, not the biography or narrative of each one, already summarized above. For that, we have Pessoa and his heteronyms. Our only public face will be our founder. We don't have a building in every city; we are a small, modern, and dynamic publishing house and we talk to anyone.
What types of books do you publish?
We publish a curated selection of literary works presented in a classic, elegant design reminiscent of Gallimard's Collection Blanche, featuring a distinctive slightly yellow cover with a red square frame.
How can I order books from your catalogue?
Our books can be ordered in three ways: 1) Print-on-demand through our linked site offering the full catalogue at a good price; 2) Personal orders through a traditional printing company at a premium price; 3) Crowdfunding orders that offer the lowest price once a minimum order quantity is reached, although the book is published ahead by us, not waiting for "funding"; 4) in selected bookstores that will be listed in this site
Can I submit my manuscript for publication?
We occasionally accept submissions, but authors must be aligned with the spirit of the publishing house, not focused on their ego or themselves. The publishing house will only have one annual collective event for authors, readers, and friends (or none at all), and, promoted by this publishing house, there will be no individual book launches. The author can do this personally, of course, and at his/her own cost (because we will not have a book fund). Obviously, we will not charge the author any fee for the book we decide to publish; we are not a vanishing publisher, but merely curators. Submissions don't need to be entire books, but they must be responsible and not frivolous, with many errors or rushed, and can be submissions born from a passion for books and literature. We can become friends, even if we don't stay professionally connected. Just because we love books. Is there a better reason? But this will obviously never happen if the submitters consider themselves the center of the world. They may even be the best in the world, but they will never be its center. Books are :) - if you have this spirit, please send an email to submissions@parisporto.com
